Conti exhaust
Hi, I have what appears to be a conti 2-1 exhaust/silencer set up on my 906 bike. This sounds glorious and is one of my favourite Ducati engine noises by a long way. It’s just so sweet when I ride her. However, the silencer end is getting ever more tatty and really lets the bike down. I suspect I ha...

Re: Poor starting
Thank you for your suggestions. They are mikunis from a 900ss and running fine. I did the simplest mod as per the instructions FAQ ( basically providing 12 v directly to the coils via a relay). What a transformation! The old girl fires up within a revolution or two as opposed to the 4 or 5 seconds p...

Poor starting
I think I know what your answers will be but maybe I just need pushing into doing it!! oK here goes. My 906 has never been a good starter especially when cold. So this is the list of what I have done previously and then this summer. New cables and connectors from battery to relay to starter. New ear...

Re: Certificate of conformation COC
Not sure of your reasons for needing the COC but I went through (the normally successful) channels to get the COC (for my 1990 906 paso) so I could demonstrate the NOx levels were below the London limit to avoid a pollution charge when taking her out. After much communication Ducati Italy declared t...

Re: Rear shock options
Had a useful chat with Brook suspension here i the uK wrt new rear shock. Nitron don’t do a size that fits. YSS do specify one for the 750 paso. They have given me the dimensions but clearly it would be easier if someone wiser than me on this site could confirm they are the same dimensionally? From ...

Re: Rear shock options
Thanks for your comments. They have been extremely useful. I feel the marzocchi duo is getting closer to the bin! I will be looking into a new replacement. I will report back as to what I purchased and what I think of it.

Re: Rear shock options
Are you trying to tell me the factory lied about BHP when new, AND it’s lost some of them over the last 30 years? You have burst my bubble

Rear shock options
I can no longer live with the ‘crash bang wallop’ of the very old and knackered marzocchi duo monoshock and need to do something (but can’t throw ohlin type money at it! Searching through the archives it appears the shock is rebuildable (maxton maybe). My first question is, would a new shock, such a...

Re: Yet another project
Welcome Neil, looks like a great project. I have 750 sport as well. Not running but sort of nearly next in line LOL. As you alluded to there is a wealth of information on this site and a number of very knowledgeable individuals. I will take a look at your website

17 and 16 wheel combination
Curious if this fine beast is anyone on this forum? It was photographed by a friend of mine at a track day. It appears to have a 16 inch wheel at the front but a 17 conversion at the rear. I’m curious how this works. Maybe a great combination given the 16 inch front and steering angle allows for a s...

Re: Shinko tyres again available
... and the F1 Laguna Seca ;) more ... practical black/alu wheels of the 750 paso actually the white ones are probably more practical as they seem to have less corrosion problems and there's no clear coat that can peel off. I was mentioned long time ago here on the forum that WD40 works fine for cl...

Re: Shinko tyres again available
This is good. I purchased a pair about 4 years ago. Maybe this summer or next I will need to replace. Could you state the supplier you used. I did have a look a month or so ago for UK based suppliers and drew a blank which started to worry me!

Re: 1988 Paso Runs - Jetting Questions
I think someone not so long ago put some of these carbs on a 750 sport engine. He may have put the setting s as well. I did start to search for it on here then decided that would be a nice job for you to do

What tool do you guys use to rotate the end pieces with? I’m going to make a dedicated tool when I get a moment but would be keen to hear of simple elegant solutions.
