Gas Filler Gasket

Post by MJP »

I have a 1992 907ie, and am in need of a rubber gas filler gasket. Seems to be a discontinued part at the local Ducati dealer. Anyone have a resource?

I've had good luck with these guys in Illinois:

Motor Cycle Center
518 W. St. Charles Road
Villa Park, IL 60181
630-782-2010

They seem to have a lot of Ducati parts and may have what you need. I'm pretty sure the filler cap was used on other bikes than the 907, so you might want to take the gasket off and measure the OD/ID. If you can't find one , you can get blank gasket material and make one yourself. I have a '92 and live in Tustin, so if you need any other help you can email me directly. jim@youngwikle.com

It'so.
For sure, the same filler cap has been used on the 851/888 and also on the early belt driven SS.

Good Luck

I had to replace mine in early '05 and was able to obtain the gasket from Gowanloch in Australia. I like dealing with this Duc dealer and have had nothing but stellar service from them on numerous occassions.

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried the Austrailia resource, but no luck. I'll try the one in Illinois tomorrow.

RATS!

Gowanloch blew me away with the stuff they had on hand, guess I was lucky to score a gas cap gasket when I did.

Oh well, please do let us know if you have any luck and/or find another source for parts.

Give BCM in NH a call and Ferracci too. They both have huge inventories and just might have it.
