Post by macwig »

I recently bought a 92 907ie from a car dealer and they had no service records at all.Is there any online database to find out where and when service was done on this bike??

no, unluckily there isn`t, specially as noone knows if the bike was serviced by an official Duc dealer or some other shop.
Best will be to find out the last owner and ask him otherwise start from zero, change all fluids, plugs, filters and the belts and check valve clearance.

I would probably do all these things regardless what any previous owner tells me. It's better to be "safe" than to be broken down on the side of the road with a disabled Paso.

Above all the timing belts.
They have to be changed every 20.000 km (16.000 miles).
If they go broken :ugh:  :ugh:  :ugh:  .

I think it is 12k miles...or two years...whichever comes first.

(I typically go for 12k miles or up to four years, though)

BIG service every two years will keep things fine as long as you are not doing very high mileages.

Look after the battery though...
