I am happy to share with you my Blue Paso that is running and back on the road after a one and a half year mission. I bought this bike for a very reasonable price off a guy in Devonshire England, the engine had been half rebuilt with the heads off and out of the bike. It came with various new bits, new belts spare ignition etc. But most interestingly it had it's swing arm lengthened with new rubber on both front and back. I can hear you all saying "they look terrible, not original" and a part of me agrees, but it was an attractive plus when getting the bike back on the road, as it's tire problem had already been addressed.
After much time spent, the guy's at MD-Racing in the UK managed to sus out the electrical gremlins that were stopping it from sparking. And now thankfully it goes! (Im no good with electrics).
It is running ok, but seems to splutter a bit and pop in the exhausts when it is low in it's rev range. When I give it a squirt, it seems to pull away smoothly. I think this is a carb set up thing, What do you guy's think? Ideally Id like to put some after market carbs on it. Has anyone got a kit for sale?
I am going to have the seat recovered as mine has split with age, also on a ride through Shoreditch last night, the mirror glass on the left hand side fell out and promptly was run over by a following car. Does anyone know of where to get replacement inserts? (the plastic inner was destroyed as well as the glass).
It is by no means mint! but looks ok, annoyingly a chair fell down in the garage where it is being kept and dented the tank a little, which is the only dent on it!
That's about it for now, Im sure I'll be back with a truck load more questions in the future.
Cheers!
Jeff
