Re: Rebuilding my 907 ST3
And what about the damage done by the chain to your swingarm?
At the moment i am trying to fit the swingarm to the bike. To position the bearings right.
The new (and correct) frame decals came yesterday.
If someone is interested, i am going to sell them for 2€/piece.

Re: Rebuilding my 907 ST3
Mailed the decals yesterday.
Can someone tell me the tightening torque values for:
-the swingarm bolt
-shock absorber bolts
-shock absorber-"drive" bolts (the connecting rods there)
I don`t get a clue from the manuals torque list ...

Re: Rebuilding my 907 ST3
today I took a couple of pics to see what could of caused the damage on JoKing's swingarm and to also check if this may be a design problem
if you look at the pics the nylon pad wraps around the swingarm pivot and you can also see the worn grooves on the nylon but not on the alluminium, I suspect that my chain may of been loose during its life...if I look approx 15=20cm back from pivot there are slight chain grooves underneath swingarm (just superficial)
my personal opinion is to get some nylon protection at the swingarm near sprocket and keep the chain adjusted correctly
PS: there is also that unknown suspension factor (at full compression) that could bring the chain very close to swingarm pivot
NOTE: the nylon has a flat surface to clear sprocket (Mctool, every time i type this word cant help but think about your comment
)

this next pic shows the positioning of front sprocket in relation to swingarm pivot

Re: Rebuilding my 907 ST3
Hi guys,
yesterday i got my fairing parts from the paintshop, and applied all the stickers.
Two questions:
There was a "made in Italy" sticker in the set. Where should that one be applied? On the fuel tank? I did not have that on the fairing before...
Then there were two huge "Ducati" decals for the tank. Two small ones, and an even smaller one.
The most small decal i applied on the part above the tail light. One of the other two small decals, i applied on the front fairing.
But where shuld be the second small decal be applied?
BR,
Johannes

Re: Rebuilding my 907 ST3
nice bike higgy but that doesn`t answer the question
I don`t think there is another small Ducati sticker on the bike. I also don´t think it had a "Made in Italy" sticker. If I`m not mistaking I saw that on the 8xx or SS infront of the gascap.
Did your set come with the "helmet lock" sticker also ?
G.

Yeah. That one on the front fairing i know... and a smaller one on the rear fairing piece w. the seat-lock. But where the third?
And where the "made in Italy" one?

Helmet lock? No... I never had that on my bike either... Where do you find that? (Still looking for the swingarm decals as well...)

Re: Rebuilding my 907 ST3
"helmet lock" is a sticker that is on the stripes above the helmet lock. I think it´s a sticker that`s put on top the stripes rather than the text being a part of the stripes decals.
edit: as the 907ie doesn`t have the stripes like the P750 or 906 the sticker is there alone like can be seen here:
http://www.ducati.ms/forums/attachments ... 0-2008.jpg
If I remember well the user manual shows all stickers on the bike (at least the one of the 906 does). Typical italian it could be that some bikes had it, some didn`t.

Re: Rebuilding my 907 ST3
Ok... my bika was all black, so no stripes...
The set included 2 big AGIP decals for the forward side fairings. But I did not like these to be coated with clear paint too...
