Throttle development

Post by Tamburinifan »

Thinking of buying this http://www.g2ergo.com/g2-tamer-throttle-tubes-720.html .
907 not listed, does it have same tube as Monster 00-10 or St2 98-03?

And also this http://www.electraeon.com/throttlecam.html .
Does 907 use type 1 or 2 cam?

? :o
what's the benefit besides looks? replacing worn out parts?
If I have to replace the trottle tube I would like to get an non liniaer action,
where 50 % of the wrist rotation gives 25 % throttle opening in order to get more control in urban cruising or high way motoring.
hurtling down the canyon is just wacking open the throttle valves, where the action is much less subtile.

bertus - read !
The Electraeon Fast Throttle Cam for Ducati motorcycles allows the throttle to reach full open with 75% rotation of the hand grip compared to the stock throttle cam. Reducing the amount of hand grip rotation provides greater control and comfort by allowing the throttle to reach the full open position quicker and reducing stress on the wrist when riding at full throttle. The cam operates in a linear fashion, 25% turn at the grip equals 25% of throttle opening, 75% turn at the grip equals 75% of throttle opening.
I`ve seen something like this also for Ducati once (...somewhere). it clips on the throttle tube and does the same what the other parts do.

Bertus - read 2:
The Throttle Tamer has a cam with a reduced radius initially, which requires a slightly farther rotation to achieve the same carburetor or throttle body opening position as a stock throttle. This virtually eliminates the jerky “throttle snatch” especially evident in modern fuel injected street bikes. The radius increases or “ramps up” after ½ throttle to keep overall rotation requires to reach full throttle at or near stock rotation.
I want nonlinear action at small openings &
WOT w 75% of original twist.

(Anyone got a pic of the wire cam on left side of throttlebodys?
Removed tank yesterday, seems impossible to see it.)

Edit: Forget that, impossible to see when mounted on TB.
