Turn Signal Flasher Replacement

Post by jfiore »

Does anyone know of a replacement for the turn signal flasher, or where I can find one? Mine quit working, and the only "local" (about 40 miles away) Ducati dealer doesn't have any knowledge of older bikes or their parts. I gave him the part number from the micro-fiche that I downloaded from this site, but he said that he couldn't get the part.

Any help will be appreciated!

Hello jfiore,

ain't that a simple flasher relay? Like other's used in cars?

Even if not, here are the standard pin assignments, so you can fix the problem by changing the wiring using a standard flasher relay like Bosch or Hella or something....

49 flasher in
49a flasher out/ flasherswitch in
49b 2. flasher out
49c 3. flasher out
C 1. controllight flasher
C2 2. controllight flasher
C3 3. controllight flasher
L flashlights left side
R flashlights right side
L54 Out for combined flash-/brakelights at Trucks and
Trailers, left
R54 Out for combined flash-/brakelights at Trucks and
Trailers, left

Even look at the "pincode" of the original relay and transfer the wiring to the new one.

Hope you could use this!
